Is This In The Urban Dictionary?

How to speak Texan

I found this on Facebook and thought I would share.
I don't think this one is in the urban dictionary Kymber (inside joke).

Oh by the way, I took my first shower in the solar bathhouse tonight. 43 degrees outside with a water temp of 110.

  2. LOL on the sign and congrats on the shower! I wonder what the temp would be inside if it was 0 out? Seriously curious, we got to 0 and below this week.

  3. Gorges - Thanks buddy.

BEY - You will have all summer to use it.

    Rob - Thans

Stephanie - Thank you. I hope I do not find out about the 0 degrees. If it gets that cold I will have to drain the system.

  7. Great news about the working shower! Are lines forming outside the door yet?

Pretty cool sign...I can almost understand it!

  8. HJ - I am sure the lines will be there when the wells start going dry again this summer.

  9. bahahahah buddy - THAT was a good one! and hanging out with you must be making me Texan or something cuz i had no problem understanding that sign!

man i am jealous of that bath house and i would take a shower in zero degree weather anyway. me and jambaloney go out of the house in our bathrobes, walk through the plastic porch (a few degrees warmer than outside) and then around to the back deck where the hot tub is - in our flip-flops! then....gasp...we have to lift the lid of the hottub, take off our robes - in -6C (20F), shiver while we take off our our flip-flops and then finally get into the hottub - PTL. then once you are all steamy and warmed up (also known as near fainting from the heat) - THEN you have to scurry out of the hottub, put on your flip-flops and robes as fast as possible and get back into the house before you freeze off various body parts.

getting in and out sucks....but once you are in there and there is a blizzard of snow all around you - oh - it's heaven!

lastly (all of this should have been in an email eh?) - here's one for you. here's how the people in cape breton speak:

    guy 1: dja-ee-djet?
    guy 2: nuh-djew?

can you translate? bahahahaha! i'll teach ya some more island speak buddy!

  10. Kymber - Yes the water is fine but getting out and drying off was something else. This summer it will be much better.
Our talking is not too far off. It looks like y'all string yours out more so instead of saying all that we say simply "djeet" and the common response is "nou". That is then followed by "wontto"
