Resolution Success

I am not big on New Years resolutions especially when they are wrote down for everyone to read. This also includes myself because now I can go back and read what I wrote last year and see how bad I am actually doing.
Having the foresight to see I might be disappointed this January 1st, last year about this time I made it easy for me now to go back and see how I did.

  • Last year I said I would spend more time fishing rather than killing myself with the worry about getting things done and I did just that. Me and the girls spent many days down at the creek watching the corks float. I hope to do even more this year.
  • Last year I said I wanted the Mini Farm to be in full operation and it was, for a while at least. I guess I can't have my cake and eat it too.
  • I also said that by the end of the year I would have most of my preparedness items in place for the house and I do. Of course that is always an ongoing project but I did manage to get up to a years worth of food plus I got all the BOBs in place.

The biggest thing was that I learned some things last year that will help me do it better this time around. I have a lot of plans for this year and hope at least half come to be.
My first order of business is to get the Solar Bathroom finished this month and move on to the next project, My shop.

  4. One foot in front of the other MDR! These lists of projects is what helps us get up in the morning. I couldn't begin to imagine watching t.v. all the time anyway, better to have something to accomplish.

  5. I hope so Stephanie, Thank you.

Izzy it is all about the money. If I had the money to do the projects then they would be done. I have to do everything paycheck by paycheck and it takes forever.
    Thanks for the comment.

  7. That is the plan Stephen. We are finally getting some good weather and I got all the maintenance stuff I could not do the last two months done this weekend. I do have to get me a new router because mine bit the dust.

  8. We'll never get it all done, but like an earlier commenter said, put one foot in front of the other. And congrats and the fishing time - that is one thing people should spend more time doing with their kids and friends. Me included.

    Take care -

  9. I agree Casey. There is so much that could be said for just being together and doing something everyone likes.

  12. If you don't Kymber then everything becomes for not.

John what we need for a while is sunshine. I know we all complained about the dry hot summer and we have not got enough rain yet to make up for it but I am tired of soggy socks for a while.
