Being in the construction field and operating big equipment I can appreciate these videos. I thought you might get a kick out of them as well.
I can't understand a word they are saying but it is well worth it.
A little of both John. Yesterday it was all rain but at night is when the storms come though. I think it is gone for a while now so maybe it will dry up some.
There is no way I would climb that tower Stephen and there is no way I would just stand there and let anyone I know get that close to me with one.
What a dumb stupid waste of time that could potentially get someone hurt or dead and accomplish nothing. I think some people just have too much time on their hands. Kinda would have liked to see how that machine climbed back down that tower thought just to see if he could do it. Hope his hydraulic hoses are all brand new.
Wow Sista don't hold nothing back there. Being an ex heavy equipment operator I am amazed at the skill level some people have. I have entered many backhoe rodeo competitions myself and although they were a waste of time it gave us a chance to show off our skills. Now, picking an egg up with a spoon that is taped to the bucket and placing it on a traffic cone does not compare to getting within inches of a person, I have been in the situations while working in the field where I had to maneuver so close to someone that I left dirt marks on their clothes. I showed the videos in appreciation of the ability the operators had.
Way too cool. I am going to have to show my dad this as he is a superintendent in a construction company building bridges, treatment plants etc. always working around heavy equipment something that requires a certain appreciation. A girl down the road was killed at a construction site at Tom Sauk Mountain(I believe) a few years back when one of those humongous dump trucks wasn't paying attention to her (flag person) and ran her over. She was alive and awake for the whole thing and even the helicopter ride to the nearest big hospital where she was able to say goodbye to her family. Her lower half was crushed.
Enjoyed the videos. Are you getting severe weather or just rain?
ReplyDeleteAmazing...thanks. Machine was kinda cool too.
