One of the best sights I have seen in a while. All that hard work these past two weekends is paying off right now, the house is warm.
So much wood, it has overflowed the wood shed, the house is full and there are two more piles almost as big by my shop. The blessing just keep coming.
I want to give a huge thanks to all the family who came and helped out at the wood cutting party. It would not have been as much fun without ya.
See ya on the flip side,
Jerry
A lot of people will never know how beautiful a large stack of wood can be. When I unload that last truck load of the year I just sit down and look at it for awhile. Happy Day!
ReplyDeleteI understand SBF, I wished I only had to do it once a year. We cook with wood year around and it takes lots of wood.
DeleteMDR,
ReplyDeleteNothing better than having family help out with cutting and piling wood.
It sure made it better.
DeleteThanks Sandy
Happy happy! After water, wood is one of the best resources to feel good about having stored.
ReplyDeleteIt won't last forever DFW, I have to do this year around. This time we got way more than we usually do and that makes me happy, happy, happy.
DeleteWe keep our chainsaw oiled & ready for gas (2 cycle of course). I absolutely love having extra firewood that is 'out of the elements'. It usually lasts for about 2 years for us, unless we have to use it all up in one season ;(
DeleteAfter this frigid spell and freezing indoors, wood will forever seem like a good thing, even if I did not have someplace to burn it. I want the next place I live to have someplace to burn wood! When I have seen wood piles, they always seem like they might be a comfort to someone. I am glad you got yours in.
ReplyDeleteI could not afford the electric bill if we did not have wood to heat the house.
DeleteThanks for the comment PP
I must be cold, I saw the tittle and started to laugh...
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Rob
